Crook County School District #1

Moorcroft k-8

The Design Team worked hand-in-hand with the District’s educational leaders to define the physical requirements of a school supporting the concept of Project-Based Learning.

The classrooms are strategically situated adjacent to commons spaces and breakout spaces are designed as flexible as possible to allow for: overlapping functions, student collaboration, large group activities, as well as small group differentiation. For supervision of students, transparency and visibility was key between interior spaces, classrooms, and the outdoors.

The building is used as a tool to fully support the educational program keeping in mind the concept that every square foot can be used to support the program.
